Junior High School Math Teacher

• Supports the Strategic Plan of Queen Creek Unified School District
• Plans and implements a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum
• Uses effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives
• Creates a weekly written lesson plan correlated with the aims and/or objectives in the curriculum guide
• Monitors and assesses student progress to provide feedback to students and parents
• Diagnoses, instructs and evaluates specific student needs and seeks assistance of district specialists as required
• Communicates aims and/or objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests
• Assists in implementing policies and rules governing student behavior
• Develops and implements reasonable classroom rules of behavior and procedure
• Creates educational experiences for student development in areas like person-social adjustment and life skills
• Promotes and follows adopted school district philosophy, policies, regulations and procedures
• Communicates with colleagues, students, parents and community in a positive, professional manner
• Assumes legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or at school activities
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence
• Assumes individual responsibilities assigned by the principal/supervisor
• Maintains punctual and regular attendance
• Performs duties under stress while interacting with students, parents, peers, and the public
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

• Valid State of Arizona Teaching Certification
• Meets all certification requirements for the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements
• Must pass a background clearance
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
