A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Health, or a related field
Proven experience in an EHS role, preferably within the construction industry
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others
Willingness to travel between Cork and Ennis locations as needed
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment
Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and addressing EHS issues
A valid Visa/Work permit for the specific job location is essential for this role

Job Responsibility

Create and uphold effective EHS programs, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, providing recommendations for mitigation measures
Deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EH&S procedures, hazards, and best practices
Conduct incident and accident investigations, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence
Stay up to date with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards, ensuring timely compliance with any changes
Perform regular audits and inspections to identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits
Participate in EHS committees and engage with regulatory agencies as necessary
