We are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of a Junior Group Sustainability Analyst (VIE) in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. You will report to our Group Head of Sustainability and be part of the Sustainability team in charge of executing the Group Sustainability Strategy. You are responsible for embedding Sustainability into Lhoist’s activities. To do so, you will be working with a diverse and broad group of experts in various projects from the different regions and teams.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to set-up projects and goals for various roadmaps (including annual trajectories) in the Group Project Management application (ASANA)
track project performance, evaluate projects, provide timely updates to stakeholders
Be the point of contact for best practices in project management: develop templates, FAQs, training for project risk and portfolio management
Provide updates to strategy and adapt roadmaps based on sustainability trends analysis of external trends: customers trends, technical innovation, regulatory landscape etc
Prepare brochures, presentations, updates to general management
generate reports and presentations on sustainability results & best practices
Support regional sustainability teams by leveraging Power BI to analyze and visualize data related to sustainability initiatives
Coordinate the internal reporting and external ratings: support sustainability team in the preparation of the mandatory sustainability statement (CSRD)
Support Lhoist legal entities in external sustainability assessments (e.g. Ecovadis)
Requirements:
Educational background in engineering, technical & operational domains (industrial engineering, chemical and process engineering etc.) supported by master’s degree in business and management domains
Solid experience with data analysis tools and techniques: good knowledge of MS office (Excel, Power Point, Power BI, Word)
prior experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus
Fundamental knowledge in Eco Vadis is a competitive advantage
Ability to approach complex challenges with business acumen and problem-solving skills
Experience with business case evaluations – preferably on sustainability option
Knowledge of project management techniques and best practices
Strong communication and presentation skills: ability to structure information for different audiences, conciseness and attention to details
Hands on and dedicated. Eager to learn and develop, search for new competencies
Implements the feedback effectively, able to self-reflect
Ability to foster teamwork and to develop strong relationships based on trust, being a reliable business partner respecting deadlines and commitments
Professional proficiency in English is a must, another language is a plus
Nice to have:
prior experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
