A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing technical engineering team working across quarrying, earthworks, remediation and major land development projects. This Junior Geotechnical Engineer position offers the chance to work closely with experienced geotechnical professionals on technically challenging projects while developing your design, investigation and quality assurance capabilities. Job Responsibility

  • Assisting with earthworks and geotechnical design activities
  • Producing technical calculations and engineering reports
  • Supporting quarry restoration and development projects
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring works
  • Sampling and testing ground materials
  • Supporting Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) activities
  • Reviewing engineering data and site information
  • Working with internal teams to ensure projects meet technical and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline
  • Approximately 1-3 years’ experience within geotechnical, ground engineering, site investigation or civil engineering environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning

Nice to have

Experience within earthworks, site investigations, ground modelling, quality assurance or engineering design
