Junior Gardener

• daily tending to and continued development of our 85acre estate
• Working primarily in the formal gardens close to the manor you’ll be delivering great aesthetics through horticulture
• pro-actively ensure the gardens remain beautiful for guests to enjoy throughout the year
• showcase and develop horticultural skills across the estate’s herbaceous borders and specimen trees
• work in our walled garden which lends itself as a excellent space for growing vegetables and cut flowers.

Experience as a gardener, with proven horticultural knowledge in herbaceous and ornamental gardens. Fruit and vegetable, flower and salad production knowledge and skills are advantageous. Understanding of a variety of growing techniques and propagation. A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 horticultural qualification (LANTRA/RHS/City and Guilds) with a strong desire to learn, progress and attain further qualifications. Excellent communication skills comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and building relationships with our members and guests. Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills. A genuine passion for horticulture. A full UK driving license is required for this role.

Fruit and vegetable, flower and salad production knowledge and skills are advantageous.
