We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller acting as the right-hand of the CFO, expected to play a key role in financial operations, performance analysis, and the implementation of transformation projects. Job Responsibility:
Manage the complete month-end process, including accounting entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and the preparation of monthly financial statements
Produce financial analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support the management's strategic and operational decisions
Participate in the implementation and improvement of FP&A processes and analyses, including budgets, financial forecasts, profitability analyses, and financial models
Develop and improve BI tools, dashboards, and automated reports to optimize access to and analysis of financial data
Review, structure, and improve accounting and financial processes to increase operational efficiency and internal controls
Supervise and support a small accounting team by ensuring the coordination of priorities, quality of work, and skills development
Collaborate with operational teams and act as the CFO's right-hand in various strategic projects related to the company's growth
Support audits and ensure financial compliance by preparing the required documentation, analyses, and follow-ups
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
CPA designation in progress or recently obtained (an asset)
3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or firm setting
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Advanced proficiency in Excel
knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) is an asset
Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, and willingness to learn
Nice to have:
CPA designation in progress or recently obtained
knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
