3+ years of estimating experience in sheet metal manufacturing or a related fabrication environment
Knowledge of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, forming, welding, and finishing
Strong ability to interpret complex manufacturing drawings and technical documentation, including GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturability analysis
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and estimating software

Job Responsibility

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fabricated sheet metal components and assemblies
Review and interpret manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to evaluate scope, manufacturability, and project complexity
Analyze GD&T and tolerance requirements to assess production risks and cost impact
Develop detailed cost estimates covering material, labor, machine time, tooling, finishing, outside services, hardware, and assembly
Evaluate alternative manufacturing methods to determine the most efficient and cost-effective production approach
Manage RFQs from receipt through submission, communicating with customers to clarify specifications and meet turnaround deadlines
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams while tracking quote performance and maintaining accurate documentation in ERP/MRP systems
