Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing comprehensive tender packages and managing the bid process
  • Reviewing tender documentation, including preliminaries and contract documents, and conducting site visits as necessary
  • Providing full take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
  • Coordinating sub-contractor tendering and performing quote comparisons
  • Engaging in cost-planning and assessing levels of risk and opportunity on tenders
  • Conducting tender adjudications and profit planning

Requirements:

  • A background in Quantity Surveying, either currently studying or recently completed would be ideal however they will also consider someone from a construction background
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and a solid understanding of JCT contracts would really benefit you in this role
  • A knack for quick turnarounds during busy periods and the initiative to work to strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft software, along with good presentation and excellent written English skills
  • Ideally someone local to the Tunbridge Wells area
