Job Responsibility

Prepare initial cost estimates for installations and develop price schedules and bid proposals
Assist with projects based on blueprints, drawings, and other reference materials
Compile estimates of labour and material costs
Assist clients in making informed decisions
Communicate with suppliers for materials and services
Forecast project timelines and ensure all estimates are accurate and detailed
Maintain organised documentation and records of estimates, contracts, and project costs for future reference

Job Responsibility

Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients
Identify and act on opportunities to be nominated for new projects
Support Account Sales Managers in achieving sales targets
Prepare accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations based on client specifications and market conditions
Ensure tenders are submitted on time to meet customer deadlines
Follow up on quotations to maximise win rates
Proactively reach out to existing clients to generate new opportunities (including occasional site or client visits)
Identify discrepancies in projects and advise clients early in the process
Collaborate with Sales Managers and the Sales Director on new leads and key decision-maker introductions
Understand client needs and align proposals with their buying motivations

Requirements

A background in Quantity Surveying, either currently studying or recently completed would be ideal however they will also consider someone from a construction background
Knowledge of construction methodologies and a solid understanding of JCT contracts would really benefit you in this role
A knack for quick turnarounds during busy periods and the initiative to work to strict deadlines
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft software, along with good presentation and excellent written English skills
