Working within a multi-disciplined onshore Engineering Team, prepare engineering drawings and documents related to design of electrical and instrumentation scopes for offshore oil platforms under the guidance and direction of senior team members
Liaising with the instrumentation team and other disciplines through work development
investigating, advising, and resolving design and field engineering problems
Assist senior and intermediate designers and engineers with design documentation packages and construction drawing sets
Calculate and prepare bills of materials in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, and other specifications
Developing data sheets, cause and effect diagrams, block diagrams, loop drawings and other typical instrument and controls deliverables
Developing heat trace isometrics, panel board schedules, lighting layouts, single lines and other typical electrical deliverables
Participate in the development of solutions to technical issues and in the verification of implementation of these solutions
Provide technical assistance to the engineering team as required
Requirements
Technical college diploma or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
A minimum of 1-5 years of engineering design experience, ideally within a brownfield industrial environment
Experience in conceptual studies, detailed design, and engineering support projects utilizing 2D and 3D design programs
Familiar with applicable regulatory codes and design specifications
Knowledge of Instrumentation design codes and standards
