Job Description:

Supports and assists the design team during the design and building process of a project. This includes, but is not limited to, documentation, organizing, illustrating and populating schedules. The Junior Designer must be absorbent to the taste and style directions given from Senior Designer on behalf of Alice Lane and the client and a team player.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in all phases of design projects assigned, including but not limited to space planning, furniture layouts, development of CAD drawings, photoshop renderings, product specification, budgeting, presentations to the client, and job site supervision
Collaboration with a team of designers to achieve an elevated design that is unique and specific to each client
Proactively anticipate the needs of the client and project & be a self-starter to move through projects efficiently
Maintain and make updates finish/fixture schedule that effectively communicates design selection and details, allowing contractors and subs to accurately execute
Generate & maintain client materials for projects, including all correspondence, drawings, etc.
Provide accurate time records each day both billable and non-billable
Meet or exceed monthly goals

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with preferably a major in interior design, interior architecture or a related field
or an Associate Degree
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in lieu of a four-year degree
Minimum of two years sales and/or interior design experience required
Portfolio should demonstrate training in full project scope including design development, vision, and construction documentation
Knowledge of high-end residential products and the ability to specify
Knowledge and familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and the Microsoft Suite
System Proficiency: AutoCAD/InDesign/Photoshoot/Excel/Word/Outlook
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) with clients and all internal colleagues
Be dependable, responsive, thorough and detailed
