Are you passionate about data and eager to help organisations harness its power? We are seeking a Junior Data Governance Consultant to join our dynamic team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting our clients to take control of their data and transition towards data-driven decision-making. You’ll be part of a major name in the tech world, known for its consulting, digital services, and software development. Within the Data area, we create long-term value for our clients through data. We help companies stay agile during transitions by making data and technology a key part of both daily operations and strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with clients to identify and address their data challenges
Advise on proper data usage and implement appropriate data management activities
Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance frameworks
Assist in creating and maintaining data policies, standards, and procedures
Work closely with various stakeholders, including data owners, analysts, scientists, and architects
Support the transition to data-driven work practices within client organisations
Conduct data quality assessments and recommend improvement strategies
Participate in data governance committee meetings and workshops
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance
Requirements:
Completed university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the data domain
Strong knowledge of data organisation, processes, and governance principles
Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) framework or willingness to learn
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel
Understanding of data privacy regulations, particularly GDPR
Knowledge of data quality management principles
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy and precision
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Fluency in Dutch and English (both written and spoken)
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development in the rapidly evolving field of data governance
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) framework

A permanent contract
Gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000 based on 40 hours per week
