We are looking for a detail-oriented entry-level Data Analyst | Excel to support data review and access validation activities within a Financial Services environment in Moline, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys working extensively in Excel, organizing large volumes of report data, and helping maintain consistency across multiple banking entities. The role focuses on comparing access-related information, validating report outputs, and assisting with audit support through accurate analysis and documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze exported data from numerous applications to identify differences and maintain alignment in access-related records across charter banks
Use advanced Excel functions, including Pivot Tables, lookup formulas, and other analytical tools, to organize, validate, and review large datasets
Perform side-by-side comparisons of user roles across banking entities to confirm consistency and highlight discrepancies for follow-up
Review permission data across charter banks and document exceptions that require correction or further investigation
Prepare and maintain tracking files that support validation activities, audit readiness, and ongoing reporting needs
Generate and evaluate system-produced reports from backend sources to verify completeness and accuracy of access information
Support provisioning-related tasks after training, following established procedures to help maintain appropriate user access
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify data issues, resolve mismatches, and improve the reliability of reporting outputs
Requirements:
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, tracking, and validation work
Hands-on knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Excel formulas for reviewing and reconciling data
Ability to compare large datasets and identify inconsistencies with strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and reporting practices
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage repetitive review tasks accurately
Clear written communication skills for documenting findings and supporting audit-related activities
Willingness to learn new processes and tools related to access reviews and provisioning support
