Junior Cybersecurity Engineer - LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA - Salary Range: $125-$135,000 annually - JOB STATUS: Full-time - CLEARANCE: Top Secret - TRAVEL: Limited, as needed to OCONUS and CONUS locations, including the Middle East, Currently the Nation of Qatar. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems (AFLCMC/ES).

Job Responsibility:

  • Support cybersecurity and system security engineering activities across program lifecycles in accordance with DoD policies (RMF, DoDI 8510.01, AAF)
  • Develop and maintain security documentation (SSMPs, PPPs, OPSEC plans, risk analyses, and accreditation artifacts)
  • Support Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) efforts, ensuring compliance with RMF requirements
  • Conduct risk, vulnerability, and security assessments
  • recommend mitigation strategies and security controls
  • Manage system access, PKI, configurations, and security updates to ensure compliance and system integrity
  • Provide guidance on secure system design, implementation, and continuous monitoring
  • Support audits, inspections, and accountability of classified materials and security processes
  • Maintain security databases, clearance records, and classified information tracking
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain system approvals and ensure security compliance across programs
  • Support security training, awareness initiatives, and policy development

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and up to 3 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, OR, 5 years of directly related experience
