Job Description:

Junior Calypso Developer to support the implementation and enhancement of a Calypso platform. The role involves contributing to development, customization, and support activities while working closely with senior team members across front-to-back-office functionalities and integrations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support development and customization activities within the Calypso platform
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining Calypso modules (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, or Integration)
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution implementation
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between Calypso and external/internal systems
  • Support message workflows, trade lifecycle events, and transfer generation processes
  • Perform unit testing and assist during SIT and UAT phases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects and technical issues under guidance from senior developers
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide production support when required

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience working with Calypso or other capital markets systems
  • Basic understanding of financial products (e.g., FX, money markets, fixed income, derivatives)
  • Knowledge of Java development
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
  • Basic understanding of REST/SOAP APIs
  • Exposure to messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka, JMS) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL) and SQL queries
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop expertise in Calypso and financial products
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Fluent English and French

Exposure to messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka, JMS) is a plus
