Job Description

As a Relationship Associate, you will collaborate with Senior Relationship Managers to meet the banking and financing needs of international mid-market clients. This role focuses on deepening existing relationships, acquiring new clients, and ensuring an exceptional "Client First" experience, directly contributing to client success and Citi's growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a primary client contact, addressing inquiries, managing escalations, and supporting Senior Relationship Managers in portfolio management
  • Drive client acquisition and onboarding, leveraging Citi's global insights and solutions
  • Assist with comprehensive client relationship analysis, including credit application write-ups, financial spreading, deal structuring, and documentation
  • Administer credit relationships, ensuring adherence to institutional policies
  • Facilitate product implementation, manage client onboarding processes, and maintain CRM data
  • Ensure strict adherence to global KYC standards and compliance deliverables
  • Build strong internal ties with global Commercial Banking teams, product teams (Cash Sales, Trade Finance, Markets), and Underwriting/Risk teams to deliver integrated client solutions and share best practices
  • Proactively assess and mitigate risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards to safeguard Citi's reputation and assets

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in banking, preferably commercial or corporate banking, with a proven client relationship or client-facing background
  • Excellent sales, presentation, and communication skills, client-service oriented
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and credit assessment abilities
  • Highly self-motivated with effective collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of general banking processes and commercial banking solutions (Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital, Lending)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
