As a Junior AV Engineer, your mission is to ensure every meeting and event runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll support the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems across conference rooms, executive meetings, town halls, and hybrid events. Working alongside the Senior AV Engineer, you’ll provide real-time support, maintain and test equipment, assist with room upgrades, and help keep our AV spaces organized and reliable. Your goal is simple: deliver seamless, stress-free audio and video experiences every day.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the setup, operation, testing, and breakdown of AV equipment in conference rooms, executive meetings, town halls, and studio spaces
Support day-to-day AV operations alongside the Senior AV Engineer, including troubleshooting audio, video, and conferencing issues
Provide real-time meeting support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, webinars, and hybrid events
Perform routine maintenance and health checks on AV systems (displays, microphones, cameras, control panels, DSPs, cabling, etc.)
Assist with small-to-medium AV projects, upgrades, and room buildouts
Document room configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures
Partner with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to resolve AV-related issues
Maintain inventory of AV equipment and ensure proper storage and organization
Provide white-glove support for executive and high-visibility meetings when required
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in audio-visual support, live event production, IT support, or related technical field
Experience supporting conference room technology, live events, or classroom AV environments is a plus
Basic understanding of AV signal flow (audio and video) preferred
Foundational knowledge of audio-visual equipment (microphones, speakers, mixers, displays, cameras, switchers, control systems)
Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video conferencing platforms
Basic troubleshooting skills in Windows and macOS environments
Understanding of cabling types (HDMI, SDI, XLR, Cat6, etc.)
Ability to follow technical documentation and assist with system installations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Eager to learn and develop technical AV skills in a hands-on environment
Calm and composed under pressure, especially during live meetings or events
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Customer-service mindset with a professional presence
Reliable, punctual, and proactive
Willingness to occasionally support early morning or after-hours events as needed
Nice to have:
Experience supporting conference room technology, live events, or classroom AV environments is a plus
Basic understanding of AV signal flow (audio and video) preferred
