Job Description:

Junior Application Specialist will be a part of our interdisciplinary skilled Technical Support Team. Will be engaged in application maintenance and change requests support based on ITIL. The main aim of the team is to execute supporting activities and routines related to applications and software base, software deployment, backup management and monitoring. Multi-level Incident and problem management for both software base and infrastructure services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Incident management related to software and/or hardware infrastructure
  • Resolving of application related incidents - 2nd and 3rd level
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Software base initial installation and upgrades in application servers, database servers, operating systems, webservers, directory servers, commercial packages, etc.)
  • Application monitoring
  • Optional application bugfix development and/or testing and/or CR implementation

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot technical and logical issues
  • Solid general IT knowledge, particularly in software-related areas
  • Proficiency in using standard software tools and applications
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality service
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks
  • Capability to read, understand, and create technical documentation
  • Willingness to work On-Call and in rotating morning/afternoon shifts
  • Experience in incident management for software and/or hardware infrastructure
  • Ability to resolve application-related incidents at 2nd and 3rd level
  • Log analysis and troubleshooting
  • Software management and configuration
  • Understanding of integrated applications and development lifecycles
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices
  • ITIL certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)

  • Basic SQL scripting
  • German language skills are a strong plus
