Job Responsibility

  • Support the daily operation of application systems to ensure stable performance
  • Monitor system performance and application alerts, escalating issues to senior team members when required
  • Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks
  • Help maintain operational and support documentation, including system changes and basic runbooks
  • Provide technical support to internal users and customers, resolving common issues and logging incidents
  • Participate in regular system health checks and assist in identifying potential risks or areas for improvement
  • Work closely with development and senior operations teams to support development, testing, and production environments

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 1–2 years of experience in application support, IT operations, system administration, or a similar role
  • Internship, graduate, or trainee experience in a production IT environment is acceptable
  • Basic experience with application monitoring or logging tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, or similar)
  • Some exposure to scripting or automation (e.g. Shell or Python) is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Windows environments
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Willingness to learn troubleshooting and performance monitoring techniques
  • Basic understanding of IT service management concepts (e.g. incident, problem, and change management)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach to following procedures and documenting work
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in an application operations role
  • Good working proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles is a plus but not required
  • Additional languages are an advantage but not essential
