Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who is eager to build a strong foundation in financial reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger support. The Junior Accountant will work closely with senior accounting staff to help ensure accurate financial records and timely month-end close activities.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Help with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Participate in bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Support audits by gathering requested documentation
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1+ years of accounting experience, internship experience considered
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Experience with ERP systems or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Exposure to reconciliations, financial reporting, or month-end close
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
