Our client in Walnut Creek is seeking an Entry-Level Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is well suited for someone beginning their accounting career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. The Entry-Level Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with reconciliations, and help maintain accurate financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Process invoices and expense reports
Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
Enter and update data in accounting systems
Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
Internship experience is helpful
Basic understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software is helpful
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
