Junior Accountant

• Revenue - Accounting of all interest income and Fees earned on loans either through App or through manual accrual.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Monthly depreciation Accounting.
• Preparation of financial statements & reports.
• Reviewing of Bank reconciliation statements.
• Reviewing of daily postings into the General Ledger.
• Creation of General ledgers for new transactions and Banks.
• Rendition of statutory returns (CBN, NDIC, CAC etc.).
• Budget preparation and allocation.
• Expense monitoring & control.
• Liaising with statutory bodies and government agencies such as (CBN, NDIC, PAYE, WHT, VAT).
• Liaising with compensation officer, internal control & external auditors.
• Liaising with Banks of finance related issues.
• Attends to various meetings such as: Management meetings, Credit review, Credit Appraisal and general purpose meetings.
• Computation of depreciation and amortization.
• Preparation of salary journal and posting.
• Reconciliation of bank books and records: prepayment, sundry creditors, sundry customers, unpaid salary etc.
• Maintenance and updating of fixed assets register and schedule.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-4years experience in a bank or fintech
• Previous experience in a microfinance bank/professional certification such as ICAN is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience in a microfinance bank/professional certification such as ICAN
