Job Description:

A well-established accountancy practice in Market Harborough is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to support its growing client base and begin a long-term career within public practice. This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their accounting career, whether you’re AAT studying, recently qualified, or qualified by experience, and keen to gain hands-on exposure to accounts, tax and client work within a supportive team environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity within accountancy jobs in Market Harborough, offering training, development and clear progression.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting with the preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Supporting statutory accounts preparation for limited companies
  • Assisting with personal tax and corporation tax returns
  • Supporting bookkeeping and basic management accounts
  • Liaising with clients to obtain information and respond to queries
  • Maintaining accurate records and working papers
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
  • Learning and developing technical skills under senior supervision

Requirements:

  • AAT studying, AAT qualified, or keen to begin AAT studies
  • Some experience in accounting or finance (practice experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Organised, motivated and eager to learn
  • Good attention to detail
