Junior Accountant

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Generate and send invoices to clients based on project milestones
• Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances and follow up on collections
• Apply payments and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate records
• Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Record journal entries related to accruals, prepaids, and expense allocations
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded
• Assist with financial statement preparation by reconciling accounts and verifying data
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for management review
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate month-end close

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
• A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting
• Experience working with QuickBooks or similar systems is required
• Experience working in a similar industry is an asset
