Job Description:

Assistant Manager position at the Juneau Musher's Camp, responsible for assisting in camp operations, staff training, dog care, guest safety, and providing a quality sled dog tour experience.

Job Responsibility:

Performs all aspects of the musher and handler positions
Assists in training and development of camp staff
Manages day-to-day operations in absence of site manager
Ensures guest safety and satisfaction
Monitors dog health and provides general dog care
Performs camp chores and maintenance
Safely provides guests with a one-mile sled ride and presentations
Assists guests with vehicles
Prepares sled, takes pictures, introduces guests to team
Safely hooks up and unhooks dogs
Inspects and replaces dog equipment
Transports guests using a van
Attends manager meetings
Trains employees
Handles medical concerns for dogs
Resolves guest and employee conflicts
Schedules staff
Inventories supplies
Ensures equipment maintenance

Requirements:

Certified or able to get certified in First Aid/CPR
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Legally eligible to work in the US
CDL or able to attain one
21 years or older
