Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Judicial Assistant to join our team in Findlay, Ohio. In this role, you will provide essential support in legal and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of judicial processes. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for detail oriented growth within the local government sector.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and coordinate court calendars to ensure timely scheduling of hearings and trials
  • Handle e-filing and court filings with accuracy and adherence to deadlines
  • Assist in preparing documents and files related to civil litigation
  • Maintain organized records and files for court cases and legal proceedings
  • Provide administrative support to judicial staff, including drafting correspondence and managing communications
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and court requirements
  • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance to clients and legal professionals
  • Monitor case progress and update relevant parties as needed
  • Utilize legal software and tools to streamline administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and address challenges effectively

Requirements

  • Proficiency in e-filing systems and court filing procedures
  • Solid understanding of civil litigation processes and terminology
  • Experience in managing calendars and scheduling within a legal environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and procedures
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of legal software and tools is preferred

  • Actively liaising with the judicial training team and any speakers to ensure that training materials are received in time to coordinate the timely release to delegates via the JCL
  • Attending face to face training, and online events to provide administrative support when necessary
  • Completing all post event work such as promptly notifying the fees team who has attended training so that delegates are paid their training fee on time
