Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a JSC Program Manager (3855) in Webster, TX. Planning, organizing and coordinating resources to successfully complete project goals and objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manages and coordinates projects from conception through planning, engineering, procurement, execution, start-up, and close-out
  • Develops and maintains formal customer contact, negotiates schedules and milestones, coordinates the participation of responsible entities and defines the major task areas
  • Supervises the development of detailed budgets and schedules, monitors progress and initiates action to assure project objective and schedules are met and work is performed within budget
  • Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of high-performance project teams
  • Plans, organizes, leads, and monitors effort of multiple teams to accomplish project objectives
  • Leads teams to ensure project completion in a safe manner, within budget, on schedule, and in conformance with appropriate standards and specifications
  • Initiates and directs the planning and development of the project execution plans, scope definition, project procedures, budgets, and project schedules
  • Monitors and controls all contractual commitments to ensure that all work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings, and terms of the contract and that change orders are timely
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of progress and special reports to customers and management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of related management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary environmental programs
  • United States citizenship

  • Be responsible for one of the subsystems including Air Revitalization Subsystem (ARS), Pressure Control Subsystem (PCS), Potable Water Supply (PWS), and Crew Waste Management
  • Review system architectures, hardware requirements, designs, assembly procedures, test plans, procedures and data of Gateway and Pressurized Rover ELCSS subsystems
  • Certify ECLSS hardware for flight and/or reflight
  • Assess and understand engineering drawings and sketches
  • Provide recommendations for materials selection for flight hardware
  • Be able to troubleshoot and investigate hardware failures and provide recommendations to get hardware back to working condition
  • Understand and utilize commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for ECLSS hardware on Gateway and Pressurized Elements
  • Support real time system operations, including flight support in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER)
