Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Staff Accountant to join our team in Ojai, California. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations. Job Responsibility:

Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
Perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain precision in financial records
Oversee accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment tracking
Record and analyze accounting entries to support financial reporting processes
Utilize QuickBooks and Shopify to streamline bookkeeping and operational tasks
Handle payroll processes, including paycheck preparation and distribution
Monitor and track invoices to ensure proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve financial system efficiency
Provide organizational support for financial operations and ensure compliance with established procedures

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Shopify for financial management
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Experience with bank and account reconciliations
Ability to record and analyze accounting entries accurately
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Familiarity with payroll processes, including paycheck preparation
Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team
