Jr. Payroll Coordinator

• Assist with payroll processing for 2 weekly and 2 biweekly payrolls, government remittances, RRSP remittances, monthly/quarterly and year end processes
• Assist employees with SAP timesheet entry, updates and inquires
• Updating employee changes and new hires to the payroll system and online benefit programs
• Monthly reconciliations for HAPSET, Group Insurance, union dues and parking remittances
• Work closely with the HR and Finance/Cost teams to provide support for adherence to Company Policies and Procedure, collective agreement and offshore standards
• Other duties as required by Payroll & Benefits Administrator or Department Manager

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a combination of education and related experience
• 1-5 years’ experience in a payroll administration role
• Completion of, or significant completion of, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification
• Knowledge of NL & AB Employment Standards, Pension, Benefits, WHSCC and HAPSET
• Experience completing Salaried, Hourly and Union Payrolls for larger organizations
• Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow and SAP is considered an asset
