Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Paralegal to be part of our team. Based in Coral Gables, Florida, you will play a key role in the legal industry, specifically in probate litigation. This role involves conducting comprehensive legal research, managing case files, and creating and reviewing legal paperwork.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on case laws, statutes, and regulations related to probate litigation
  • Efficiently manage and organize case files, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all documents
  • Create, revise, and review legal paperwork, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, for probate litigation cases
  • Synthesize and evaluate legal documents to support attorneys in preparing cases effectively
  • Coordinate the production of documents, including the preparation of exhibits and materials for depositions, in collaboration with the legal team
  • Utilize legal research tools and software for case analysis
  • Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Capably work independently, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and meeting deadlines effectively
  • Leverage skills in Adobe Acrobat, Banner Ads, Case Management Software, Legal software, LexisNexis, Billing Functions, Briefing, Calendar Management, and Claim Administration
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of legal principles and procedures related to probate litigation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the legal field
  • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat is required
  • Experience in creating Banner Ads is a plus
  • Familiarity with Case Management Software is essential
  • Proficient in using legal software for managing and organizing legal tasks
  • Experience in using LexisNexis for legal research is necessary
  • Ability to handle billing functions effectively
  • Experience in briefing cases and presenting concise case summaries
  • Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling appointments
  • Experience in claim administration, including filing and managing legal claims
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
