Job Description:

This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. You will play an important role in supporting attorneys, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring the smooth operation of legal administrative tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage attorneys' calendars and ensure deadlines are met by actively monitoring schedules and following up as needed
  • Prepare and maintain client engagement documentation with a high level of accuracy
  • Support attorneys in civil and defense litigation processes by organizing case files and assisting with legal research
  • Handle special projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and resourcefulness
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of legal work and client interactions
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, secretaries, and clients to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Utilize legal software tools such as WestLaw, Tax Appeal Pro, Litify, and Docrio to streamline workflows
  • Assist in organizing workflow and prioritizing tasks to meet changing demands
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, for document preparation and correspondence
  • Ensure the efficient management of time and resources to support legal operations

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a legal administrative or legal assistant role
  • College degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be proactive and manage your attorney's docket effectively
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stress effectively and perform under pressure
  • Cooperative spirit and ability to collaborate within a team-based setting
