Job Description:

We are looking for a Jr. Fund Accountant to join our team in Boston, MA. In this long-term contract role (potential contract to hire), you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy of financial operations and compliance within the organization. This position offers an opportunity to work on-site five days a week and contribute to critical accounting processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor funds to ensure compliance with investment restrictions and regulatory requirements
  • Calculate and process distributions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare projections and billing statements to support financial planning and operations
  • Generate detailed monthly financial statements and related reports
  • Perform valuations and reconcile derivatives to maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist in calculating Net Asset Value (NAV) for funds and ensure proper documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting discrepancies and improve workflows
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • Support audits by preparing and organizing required documentation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fund accounting or a similar financial role
  • Strong understanding of compliance practices and investment restrictions
  • Proficiency in preparing billing statements and financial projections
  • Ability to calculate and reconcile derivatives accurately
  • Familiarity with Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and related processes
