A Proactive Attitude towards safety
A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson Welding Certification
A valid Class 5 Drivers license
Be capable of passing all positions of CWB testing for SMAW.
Be familiar with interpreting engineered welding procedures
Be familiar with Mag Particle and Dye Penetrant testing processes
Be able to Climb onto, into over Equipment, use ladders and work at heights
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Flexible schedule to work - weekends

Job Responsibility

Maintaining a safe work environment
Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to repair equipment
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the assembly, installation, set-up and repair of equipment and machinery
Inspect equipment for Cracks using mag particle and di penetrant testing
Weld repair various types of Sawmill and Planer equipment including Conveyors, Hydraulic lines, chutes hoppers and tanks, using SMAW, GMAW, Air Arcing and Grinding equipment
Fabricate, install, and repair structural steel assemblies and components
