Job Description:

Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to perform installations of electronic security systems, work independently and along with other technicians, to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in all installations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install, program and configure electronic security systems for commercial clients, including, door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and other security systems
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, diagnose, integrate new and existing installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and meets industry standards
  • Run electrical wiring, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in physical security, fire alarm, low voltage communication systems, including installing devices, troubleshooting, programming and running medium to large projects
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific licenses as required
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office and capable of navigating multiple systems efficiently.
  • Skilled in interpersonal and communication skills for clear documentation and reporting.
  • Highly skilled in troubleshooting, mechanical, and electronics skills
  • adept with hand and power tools
  • Willingness to handle "on-call" duties, respond to emergency service requests, and travel overnight as needed.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at various ladder heights
