Job Description

Works directly with the Electric Shop Supervisor on a daily basis and with the MEP Manager as need arises, to assure that all University electrical systems operate at the highest efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Assists Electrician or Master electricians in performing routine maintenance on University electrical systems
  • Performs routine maintenance on university electrical equipment as required by established procedures
  • Assists in inventory control of required repair parts and tools as outlined in established procedures
  • Assists in time keeping, blueprint takeoffs, material lists and acquisition as required
  • Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Training and experience acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience in the electrical field
  • Current Kentucky Electrical License
