Job Description:

Summit Skilled Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician for a long-term industrial facility opportunity in the Warren, Ohio area. This position is ideal for a skilled electrician with strong troubleshooting abilities and experience working in industrial and manufacturing environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Install and connect power supply wiring, conduit, lighting systems, and electrical devices
  • Troubleshoot and repair production controls and automation components
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems including: Transformers, Motors and motor starters, MCC panels and circuits, Variable frequency drives (VFDs), Lighting fixtures and control systems
  • Maintain electrical distribution systems including: 277/480V 3-phase systems, 120/208V 3-phase systems, 120/240V single-phase systems
  • Replace faulty electrical and electronic components such as relays, contactors, printed circuit boards, and push buttons
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility electrical systems and equipment
  • Install conduit, wiring, and electrical apparatus in accordance with NEC standards
  • Maintain building lighting systems, emergency lighting, parking lot lighting, outlets, and related controls
  • Complete accurate maintenance documentation and service reports
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas, tools, equipment, and inventory

Requirements:

  • Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program required
  • Minimum 4 years of related electrical experience in industrial or commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of motor controls and logic control systems
  • Experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and voice/data systems preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, safety procedures, and technical manuals
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must possess applicable certifications/licenses as required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Nice to have:

  • Experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and voice/data systems preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience working around industrial automation equipment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
