Job Responsibility:

  • Build structures, including formwork and concrete finishing, walls, steel structures, doors and windows, trusses, roofing, building envelope systems, thermal protection, drywall, millwork, and demolition
  • Use a variety of building skills and techniques while balancing speed, accuracy, and efficient use of materials
  • Operate various hand and power tools
  • Maintain safe worksites and participate in safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Be a Journeyman Carpenter or have equivalent experience
  • Be able to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Have a strong understanding of the BC Building Code and WorkSafeBC safety procedures for commercial and industrial sites
  • Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
  • Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
  • Red Seal Carpenter (Or Assessed Equivalent)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Additional industry trainings including Intermediate or Basic first aid, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform & Confined Space are assets

Nice to have:

  • Carpentry experience in Commercial & Industrial are preferred
