Journalist

ITV Cymru Wales is looking for a multi skilled journalist to join its Welsh Language Programmes team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a journalist to work across our current affairs output for S4C (our political series Y Byd yn ei Le and Y Byd ar Bedwar). With extensive contacts across Wales you will have an excellent understanding and proven experience in news or current affairs production in Wales. And you’ll have your finger firmly on the pulse of Welsh politics, with a deep understanding of the political landscape and systems in Wales. You will be a crucial part of the team working on the ‘Y Byd yn ei Le’ series - researching ideas, finding contributors, liaising with political parties and elected members and producing content or programmes. You will also be expected to support ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’ with long term investigations and current affairs programming when needed. You will have a strong understanding of compliance and broadcast guidelines and the ability to work in a fast paced newsroom environment under challenging circumstances.
