Job Description

As the Job Placement Coach, you will be part of a support team that works together with the young person and will focus on building their skills, confidence and readiness to enter employment through targeted and tailored activities. In this role, you will use your customer service skills and ability to build working relationships with young people to support them to gain skills that will lead them to meaningful, sustainable employment.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering tailored, outcome-driven employment services, including assessment, pathway development, employer outreach, and ongoing support for sustainable employment
  • Completing intake assessments with the participant to determine work readiness
  • Working in collaboration with the member to goal set and implement strategies
  • Source and match employment opportunities for young people using a strengths based, client-centred approach
  • Job matching, cold calling, and reverse marketing the young person to employers

Requirements

  • Employment Services experience and/or a bubbly and enthusiastic individual with the drive to support young people on their journey to employment
  • A solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers faced by disadvantaged young people
  • The drive to meet KPIs
  • Proficient skills in using technology and systems
  • Great employer engagement skills - you love cold calling and reverse marketing
  • Your practice is client focused, our young people are at the heart of it, and you genuinely want to make a difference in their lives
