Job Description:

Reporting to the Cost Control Lead – National, your primary responsibilities will be tracking and analyzing the costs associated with specific projects or jobs, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and collaborating with project managers and finance team to improve cost efficiency to meet the goals of Rema Tip Top Industrie.

Job Responsibility:

  • Claims Management – Preparing claims and invoicing. Uploading claims in customer portal
  • Liaising with customer to get variations on purchase orders promptly
  • Reporting on margins. Ensuring all sales are captured to meet month end deadlines
  • Setting up and closing jobs promptly
  • Reviewing and allocating costs to jobs/work orders, including all consumables and overhead expenses
  • Ensuring budgets are recorded in jobs and analyse variances against actuals. Ensuring commitments get processed and are cleared out in a timely manner
  • Reconciliation and understanding review wip report and flag issues for addressing and write off unrecoverable WIP and labour recoveries accounts
  • Participating with the Area Managers/Site Coordinators in relation to project budgets and costing
  • Ensuring controls for projects comply with company standards
  • Using project control systems and procedures to ensure cost, progress and scope control on projects
  • Establishing key performance indicators to benchmark individual and collective project performance
  • Identifying opportunities for reductions in project cost
  • Initiating variance reports in respect of costs, time and resources
  • Referring potential issues to the Commercial Manager
  • Collecting all Timesheets and data entering into ERP system in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in job costing (within the mining or construction industry is a bonus)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Advanced excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Pronto)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional data entry skills
  • Able to effectively build and maintain internal/external stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
