We are looking to recruit four Job Coaches to support our Supported Internship learners to succeed in their employment placements and meet the expectations of their roles.
Job Responsibility
Provide 1:1 support for young people with special education needs (SEN) to fulfil the requirements of their job role on their employment placements as part of a Supported Internship programme
Providing in depth instruction and coaching to fulfil agreed job tasks on a reducing basis over time
An ability to engage with employers and employee colleagues to provide the support and integration necessary to sustain the internship and potential future progression to paid employment
Requirements
Level 2 or equivalent qualification
GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths or equivalent
Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
Qualification in Systematic Instruction (TSI) (willingness to work towards)
Proven experience in a similar supportive environment
Experience of working and communicating effectively with people with learning difficulties and disabilities
Full clean driving licence
Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
Enhanced DBS check
