The rewarding role of the Job Coach is to support young people in realising their aspirations to participate in work related activities, and facilitate individuals’ progression into paid work, through volunteering, education and training, work experience and other routes. The Job Coach will work flexibly across all key stages, work with individuals on 1:1 basis or very small groups under the direction of the Employability Tutor. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with confidence and initiative who is comfortable working on a one-to-one basis and sometimes without direct supervision. Working with challenging young people and helping them develop will be key so you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will follow a bespoke timetable and will build positive relationships with the young person to promote interaction and a constructive learning environment.
