Job Responsibility

Provide individualised, on-site job coaching and training to interns within the host business
Support interns to develop workplace skills, confidence and independence
Work collaboratively with Amazon Weybridge managers and staff to support inclusive employment practices
Liaise regularly with parents and carers to share progress and address any support needs
Monitor intern progress against agreed outcomes and contribute to reviews and reports
Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and professional workplace standards
Support interns to transition into sustained paid employment where possible

Job Responsibility

Support people with developmental disabilities to have a full quality of life
Assist people supported to gain skills to be more independent in all aspects of their life, achieve goals and dreams, remain active in the community, gain or maintain natural supports, maintain health and wellness, and be an advocate for each person you support to ensure his/her wants and needs are put first
Builds a positive rapport with people by learning their wants, needs, and desires
Learns about the person’s spirituality, social history and life experiences through education and a variety of community experiences
Uses the person’s plan, Personal Outcome Measures information, and other assessments to learn about each person’s goals and dreams. Supports each person to direct their own services, achieve their goals and dreams, and remove barriers that hinder the accomplishment of the person’s goals and dreams
Ensures each person within the department has all of his/her basic assurances met
Attends program training with the QIDP and accurately implements all OSP/PCSP programs, learning objectives, and supports. Attends team meetings and completes assessments as requested
Documents in an accurate and timely manner in all applicable records, charts and files of people supported
Learns about people’s vocational, community and social interests through experience and exposure
Assists people to remain connected to their natural supports (family, close friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc.)
