Are you a skilled fabricator with a passion for precision engineering? We're looking for a hands-on Jigs & Fixtures Technician to manufacture, assemble and maintain high‑quality jigs, fixtures, and tooling that keep operations running smoothly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build, modify and repair jigs and fixtures using machining, welding and fabrication techniques
  • Operate lathes, milling machines, saws and workshop equipment with accuracy and care
  • Interpret engineering and weld drawings, working confidently to tight tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure all tooling is safe, reliable and production-ready
  • Carry out precise measurements and validation using critical‑dimension standards

Requirements:

  • Strong practical skills in fabrication and welding (MAG experience essential)
  • Ability to interpret engineering/weld drawings and symbols
  • Confident use of workshop machinery
  • Great attention to detail, accuracy and problem‑solving ability
  • Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently when required

  • Special processes: Handle resistance welding – production setup, quality issues, process improvement, troubleshooting & system calibration. CQI-15 assessment
  • Production Documentation: Prepare & release production documents such as WI, Control Plan, PFC, PFMEA, Measurement & test plans, PDS
  • IPN collaboration: Collaborate with IPN (International Production Network) for process improvements, quality issues, complaints, standardization. Represent Chakan plant within IPN & execute standardizations/improvements
  • Machine installation & commissioning: Co-ordinate for installation and commissioning of new or relocated machines/stations/units with facility or third parties. Plan for tryouts, validations and release of new machines for production (RfP). Order necessary material & services
  • KAIZEN: Kaizen ideation to implementation for shopfloor/ process/ production improvements like CT reduction, quality improvements etc
  • New product development: Understand technical requirements from Sales team and coordinate with IPN & CFT to collect information related product design to establish robust manufacturing processes. Support from sample generation to SOP for new product/ variants
