Job Description:

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for contributing to applications systems analysis and programming activities. The role requires expertise in Java/J2EE, Big Data technologies, as well as agile development practices. Includes responsibilities such as conducting feasibility studies, monitoring the development process, and providing operational support.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs
monitor and control all phases of development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
provide user and operational support on applications
analyze complex problems, provide evaluations of business processes and system processes
recommend and develop security measures
consult with users/clients and other technology groups
define operating standards and processes
serve as advisor or coach to analysts
assess and manage risks with transparency

Requirements:

7 to 12 years of Application development experience
experience with Core Java/J2EE Application with complete command over OOPs and Design Patterns
commendable knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms
hands-on experience in Hadoop, Map Reduce Framework, Spark, YARN, Sqoop, Pig, Hue, Unix, Java, Sqoop, Impala, Cassandra on Mesos
Cloudera certification (CCDH) is an added advantage
experience in complex project execution in Big Data Spark ecosystem
exposure to ETL and BI tools is good
expertise in designing and optimizing software solutions for performance and stability
expertise in troubleshooting and problem solving
expertise in Test-driven development
work experience in an agile environment following Scrum best practices

Nice to have:

Cloudera certification (CCDH)
exposure to ETL and BI tools
