Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
  • Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 11/17/23), Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices development
  • Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and hands‑on experience in building cloud‑native applications
  • Deep understanding of distributed system architecture, event‑driven patterns, API design, and integration frameworks
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Nexus, Maven/Gradle), and automated test frameworks
  • Solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, along with ORM technologies (Hibernate, JPA)
  • Strong command of observability tooling & practices, including CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, logging standards, tracing, and SRE‑style metrics (SLIs/SLOs)

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to modern UI frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with Docker, container platforms, and cloud aPaaS solutions like OpenShift
  • Strong API engineering experience across REST, GraphQL, or event‑streaming platforms
  • Experience in banking or financial services, with understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership ability — influencing without authority
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to provide thought leadership on complex technical challenges
