Job Description:

Citi is seeking an experienced senior Java Fullstack Developer to work on scalable web applications and complex backend systems. The role involves leveraging modern technologies, such as Java, Spring, REST APIs, Docker, and Kubernetes, to build and maintain robust applications. The position supports the Finance, Market, and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) team which drives Citi’s long-term growth goals while adhering to regulatory standards.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java Backend and modern front-end technologies like Angular, React etc.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using Java and Spring framework
Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular etc)
Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to manage and deploy microservices
Monitor microservices performance and security, and proactively fix issues or optimize services
Work closely with the devops team to build, deploy and manage applications in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git or equivalent

Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience in the full-stack development with Financial Service industry preferred
Strong in Java 8+ Concepts & Hands-on coding skills in Java 8 and higher version
Working knowledge of Spring boot, Microservices architecture, REST API, Hibernate
Understanding of test-driven development using Junit, Mockito
Hands on understanding on Relational database like Oracle, PL/SQL and No-SQL databases like MongoDB
Having experience developing in the following technologies HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, NodeJS, Git
Experience with performance optimizations tools and techniques

Nice to have:

Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
Leetcode/Hackerank/Github Online coding repositories
Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum)
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities
