Java Engineer

• Providing day-to-day support for a standalone multi-asset trading platform,including operational troubleshooting and bug fixing
• Delivering ongoing development and feature enhancements, includingreviewing and modernising core platform code
• Ensuring systematic testing and high-quality release management
• Building MIS reporting tools and supporting automation
• Working directly with the business trading team to shape technical solutions
• Supporting STP/automation integrations with third-party systems
• Interpreting regulatory reporting requirements and implementing supportingfunctionality
• Working with front-end development tools, cybersecurity considerations, andwider infrastructure

• 10 years relevant industry experience
• exposure to front/middle office trade systems
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java (server-side), MySQL, AWS (cloud services), Bash/Shell scripting exposure
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• A natural tech enthusiast with a hunger to learn and innovate

• UI experience in GWT, Java FX, Swing or similar
• Business exposure Knowledge: Repo, Stock Borrow Loan
• Commercial Paper
• Equities & Fixed Income
• FX (spot & swaps)
• Derivatives (IRS, TRS)
• Portfolio or investment management systems
