Job Description:

Java Devops Architect is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Setting up consistent CI/CD and Application Lifecycle management processes
Environment and infrastructure maintenance and upkeep
Providing Technical support for Production and UAT Issues (Level3)
To support application tuning and debugging strategies
Release management
Ownership of incidents and application problems
Working with various stakeholders and support teams
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
Evaluate and bring in niche technologies to Trade services and broader FX tech

Requirements:

15 + years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Hands on experience in Java/JEE, Spring boot, etc.
Experience in micro services architecture and Docker Containerization
Web/App servers e.g. Weblogic/Webspere including Message Brokers
Experience in CI/CD tools e.g. Git/Jenkins etc.
Cloud e.g. AWS and deployment tools
Container management tools e.g. kubernetes and openshift
Strong debugging skills
Basic RDBMS administration and SQL skills
Experience in handling tech support teams across Trade processing applications is desired
Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB will be an added advantage
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Working knowledge in FX, Money Market, Fixed Income and Derivative products will be an added advantage
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred

Nice to have:

Experience in NoSQL databases like MongoDB
Working knowledge in FX, Money Market, Fixed Income and Derivative products
