Job Description:

Java Developer Leading Government client (consulting through FinXL) FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors. FinXL is seeking a Java Developer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a 12 months contract in Parramatta. This role is only open to Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents who are able to pass a baseline security clearance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain high-quality WebApps using Java and modern frameworks
  • Configure and manage Jboss and Apache environments
  • Write and maintain scripts within a Red Hat Linux environment
  • Design and integrate REST and SOAP web services
  • Utilize Jenkins, Gradle, and Ant for continuous integration and build automation
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-based agile environment

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Java development and associated WebApps
  • Proven expertise with Struts, Spring, NodeJS, and Angular
  • Strong technical knowledge of Jboss, Apache, and Red Hat Linux
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and scripting
  • Familiarity with monitoring and security tools such as Tivoli SSO and Splunk
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
